Happy Halloween ....

well as you can see it has been some time since I blogged,  think I had blogged just about weekly for almost five years, but just recently it has fallen by the way side. I have been a busy bee as always and as most of you know my main crafting focus is around Scrapbooking, so before the current seasonal brochure ends, and as it is Halloween, I thought I should blog a layout I made a few weeks ago with the Spooky Night designer papers and Spooky Cat stamp set (page 53 of the seasonal)

It's a pretty simple page but I did enjoy using the stamp set more than I expected, and will show it on a further layout not related to Halloween in a future post ....

Delightful Daisy part 2 ....

what impressed me about this paper collection was the variety, the colours are beautiful and have created three very different colourways for these layouts all from the same pack .... 

Delightful Daisy DSP ....

I'm sure everyone has seen these lovely papers called Delightful Daisy. There are some gorgeous cards out there made with them. I know the Daisy punch has been scarce but it is now back in stock.

I haven't made many posts since the launch of the new catalogue, but know of one thing that I am falling in love with .... the new in-colour Tranquil Tide. I want to use it one everything ! more to follow ...

Love Today Planner Kit ....

It's nice to see Stampin Up! following the trend into planners. If your already a fan of Project Life, pr pocket scrapbooking as I prefer to call it, then maybe planners are your next big thing :) If you enjoy lists, memories, photo's and keeping a diary, then this may be right up your street .... take a look at this kit on page 12 of the annual catalogue for an easy and quick way to get started ....

Jar Of Love ....

I was worried that this stamp set was going to retire as I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, so I'm relieved that has carried over into the new annual catalogue. I have seen some very pretty samples made with it, but besides all of the pretty floral things you can make, it is a really versatile stamp set. Can you belief that I made all four of these cards from one set, and they are all very different in styles ...

New 2017 - 2018 Annual Catalogue launched ....

It's that exciting time of year when the new annual catalogue is launched. Lots of lovely new products and fabulous new coordinating in-colours. Pick A Pattern DSP ....

So who'd like to see a new product from the eagerly awaited 2017 - 2018 Annual catalogue? Being a scrapbooker I had to go for paper of course! So here's a quick layout I made today with something from my Demo pre-order period .... Pick - a Pattern colours include flirty flamingo, emerald envy and crushed curry, there's also a sneak of some gorgeous little acrylic shapes, enjoy.

National scrapbooking day ....

had a lovely relaxing day today doing a little scrapping. Here's a layout that I completed using Simple Stories Carpe Diem and a little of there Faith collection.

I spent the rest of the day doing a few scraplifts and sketches, which always makes for an easy day :)

New Catalogue Launch ....

Nearly that time of year again when June will see the new full annual catalogue launch. Just to wet your appetite, hers a sneak of the front cover ....

Scrapstars #2 ....

so a full week has passed and I have just about sorted my craft room after all the boxes were unceremoniously dumped in there! I was looking back at my layouts, and just had a quick play with scraps from one of the kits. The original layout (designed by Morag Cutts) was made using the Simple Stories Domestic Goddess range. I loved Morag's layout and used photo's of my friends and I crafting (something all of us would rather be doing than Housework). I decided to make a further layout from scraps for my daughters album, using the same theme of Housework ! (not today).....

Scrapstars ....

It's been a busy few weeks since my holiday with the build up to my retreat Scrapstars. Another fabulous fun weekend, with masses of creativity, fantastic teachers, and great projects. I love the weekend and it has been wonderful to meet up with people that I now consider to be friends, and to meet and make new ones ....

AWOL ....

well what can I say, I have been absent for a whole month, I can't believe it and how the time has flown. Having said that, I was rather busy for a week before my holiday and then spent a wonderful 2 weeks in sunny Florida. It was a holiday of two halves, in our first week my nephew, his wife and their two children joined us for their first trip to Disney World. Although we have been to Florida a number of times, we haven't "done Disney" since our first trip in 1999. It was lovely to share the Magic with little ones again, and we had a full throttle 7 days with 6 consecutive days at the parks..... already talking about all the things we didn't do, and looking forward to next time :)

Happy Valentine's Day ....

Just a quick post today but I had to share this gorgeous pop and twist card that the lovely Amanda Bates from The Craft Spa taught me this weekend. It showcases the lovely Sending Love paper stack and I can't wait to find time to make lots more of these great WOW cards :)

Team Training ....

last weekend I attended my up-lines team training, it was great to see some of the team as I haven't been able to attend an event for a while. Julie had planned 6 cards across the day, and it was nice to use the Cool Treats suite and the Urban Underground papers with the tool stamps known as the Urban District set.

Just made a few quick scrapbooking layouts with the new Urban Underground designer papers from Stampin Up, they are in the new Spring Summer seasonal catalogue, great colours and so versatile ..

on the second layout I have teamed the papers with the Urban District stamps, but more from these later, I have used the small stamps of screw, nuts and tacks that come with them to form a background mount for my photo, and then I have stamped and coloured the tools .....
