Northumberland ....
I've wanted to visit Northumberland for a few years now. It was put on my radar by ladies I had met through crafting, who were always posting fantastic photo's of themselves walking there dogs on the beach, or general scenery around the area they live in. Finally we made a visit last month and had a wonderful week exploring the area. I would highly recommend it, and it was so nice to be able to pack up the car and not have to travel to the airport. There's so much to see and do in Northumberland, and I took some great photo's for my scrapbook :)

Pop of Pink ....
Feeling all fired up on the scrapbooking front today. I just had a whole weekend away scrapping and managed 11 layouts in one weekend !! Wow, that is a massive record for me, and I have continued today by finally using these gorgeous Stampin Up papers, Pop of Pink and also making a simple card with a bit of sparkle :)

Papillon Potpourri ....
Its nice to revisit an old stamp set and one that has stayed in the current catalogue. I loved the sample card in the catalogue so much that I have reproduced it here. It is made using the "wet wipe" effect, which may need a little practise as it can make your card curl as it dries.
Lastly if you are a little wary of using effects, why not try this fabulous background stamp until you feel more confident (more from this stamp later) :)
Here's another card I made using the sponging effect, all you have to do is dab your sponge onto your ink pad and move it on to the card in a circular motion. You can make your own little masks to create effects like the butterflies and the clouds.
Lastly if you are a little wary of using effects, why not try this fabulous background stamp until you feel more confident (more from this stamp later) :)

Foxy Friends ....
Hi there, sorry for the absence but I have just had a week away in the beautiful coast and countryside of Northumberland. Stunning scenery and more on that later. Travelling in your own car has many advantages, mainly you can take your own pillow and loads of craft stash ! So while hubby played golf, I had a day to finally have my first play with the Foxy Friends stamp set and coordinating punch. Here are a couple of cards I managed to make, but I'm sure there will be more projects to share with this set, as the ideas just seem to keep coming :)
| The card at the back is cased for Sherry's Stamped Treasures. |
| Lovin my little bear, I masked the ears and tail from one of the background stamps and added my own features from other stamps in the set. |

I'm sure you have noticed recently the mad obsession in most stores graphic designs of "The Flamingo". They are every where and for the last two months my team mates have been posting photo's of everything from ties, to towels, to fairy lights, all with Flamingo's (and or Pineapples). Not to be outdone, Stampin Up have there own spin on this summers icon, and here are a couple of samples that I have made with the Pop of Paradise stamp set ....
