Little Trip ....

Hello, I am back. Back from where you may ask? well I have been on holiday and it has been a few weeks. I don't like to make a big song and dance when I am going away, and I am one of those people who doesn't like to "post" about being away for security reasons. So I am just happy to say we are back, we had a wonderful time, and are just about recovering from the jet lag and need another holiday lol. :) One of the main reasons for our trip was my friends wedding in Melbourne, we were at school together and have remained in contact for over 30 years. It was a wonderful day and then we had a little trip within a trip to Philip Island to see the Penguin Parade. I love penguins so this was a real thrill for me :)
At dusk the penguins start to come in from the sea in groups of about 20. They swim out of the sea and are shattered from there day at sea feeding. They waddle across the beach as fast as they can and then stop for a breather at the crest of a little sand dune which is very close to the seating for the "spectators", nd they head up the hill to their burrows.

Butterfly Basics ....

I have scheduled a few blog post recently to pop up while I am not around, but I really wish I had had more time to make some samples with this gorgeous stamp set. It can be purchased on it's own or as a bundle with coordinating thinlits dies to make cutting out the butterflies easier.

Indescribable Gift ....

Just seem to have been very busy these last few weeks, firstly with my class that I did on the 7th February and then scrapbooking, helping a team member with her samples and classes and getting ready for our trip. I had had a play with the gorgeous Something Lacy background stamp over Christmas and had stamped and coloured onto some vellum. I am in the process of developing a full class on this stamp, but in the meantime, I have added some of the vellum to cards and used the Indescribable Gift stamp set. It is essentially an Easter stamp set, but if you ignore the sentiment, I feel it is very versatile ....

Best Year Ever ....

Fabulous Sale-a-Bration papers this year, so easy to work with and you can use them to scrapbook a multitude of occasions. They make a very pretty baby girl page and lovely holiday, seaside, picnic, sunny day layouts. Just sharing one that I made yesterday with some old holiday photo's of my great niece :) I also used the coordinating buttons which can be earned free, and my favourite SU heart stencil/mask :)

Sweet Dreams ....

As you know I am avid scrapbooker so I love it when there is a new release of papers so that I can make some new layouts. This is my first from the new seasonal and I have used the Sweet Dreams designer series papers. They come with cute button accessories and gorgeous chunky Hello Honey Ribbon. I have also used a few other new products such as the Bumblebee stamp and the Something Lacy background stamp stamped on to vellum, there are just a few slithers of this :)

Sheltering Tree ....

Had a lovely day last Saturday with a few ladies all following my sheltering tree class. I love this stamp set and it was the first I ordered from the new seasonal. I knew it would be super easy to work with "I love Trees" :) I used 2 cards from my fellow team members and was inspired by a few ideas on Pinterest to design the rest. I think my favourite is Ali Moore's pink number, and my crisp cantaloupe and crumb cake combo :)

Lotus Blossom ....

When I first saw this stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration brochure, it wasn't an immediate favourite, but now I can hardly believe it can be earned for free! So easy to use in photopolymer (therefore easy to position) and as it is supposed to give a watercolour type effect, it's easy to get a great result every time :)
