Balloon Bash ....

Well with the retirement list coming out and most of the papers being retired I thought it an outrage that I still haven't made a layout with the gorgeous Birthday Bash designer series papers, and what better to coordinate them with than the birthday bash stamp set. I know this is going to stay in my stampin stash for a long time, it's so cute and perfect for cards of all age groups. Hope you enjoy the layout ....

I may add some spritz, washi tape and of course title and age !

Hello Life Project Kit ....

I've been meaning to make this kit up for months. I have had it for ages, it was one of the first things I ordered from the current seasonal catalogue and I love it. I delayed as I was busy with card classes and my retreat, but I just spent some time today relaxing on the settee and putting it together. I love how there are loads of pre cut elements for you to mix and match together to give each one a unique twist. Now all I have to do is print a few photographs in black and white and add them behind the polaroid frames in the bottom right :) see page 6 of the seasonal.

Something Lacy ....

it's been some time since I have blogged anything stampin up, this is mainly due to my three week trip to Oz, New Zealand and via Los Angeles for a few days. I arrived home, almost a full four weeks before Scrapstars but I still felt slightly stressed about having everything in place. It was of course, but I just wanted to run through everything and had the goody bags to pack.

So this weekend, I have a Stampin Up class with five lovely ladies, we are focusing on the lovely Something Lacy background stamp and I have been making cards today ready for the class. I will show a sneaky peak here and will post some more photo's next week. Love this set, it is so pretty and I have been experimenting with vellum and various ink colours. Enjoy the cards .....

Scrapstars ....

"Few" just had a duvet day today to recover from my hectic but thoroughly enjoyable weekend retreat Scrapstars. I organize the retreat once a year and it is mainly (not exclusively) directed at Scrapbookers. I have been scrapbooking for about 12 years and it is my main crafting passion. I love the weekend, it has been going for about 5 years now, and is like spending a weekend with all my crafting friends. A lot of the ladies return year upon year and I have delegates from all over the country and Ireland. We had lots of fun and fabulous classes designed for us by the amazing Louise Collins https://www.facebook.com/loucollinsdesigns?fref=ts   (see her on create and craft) and also Tracee Provis    see Tracee on the Bo Bunny Design team and also CSI design team in the USA.   http://bobunny.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/lifes-circus-wagon.html  and of course our regulars Kathy Rogers and Penny Kafai.   I am planning on resurrecting the Scrapstars blog, so look out for photo's and information there.

Squirrells ....

It's been nearly 18 months since we moved to our new home. In that time I noticed that the squirrels didn't come up to the house (or more accurately, the bird table), but just recently they have started to do so. I'm sure it's just two that live at the bottom of the garden, and they are so cute, and I've been saying "oh they've started to come up to the house, aren't they cute". BUT NO MORE, they take all the bird seed, and are sooo greedy and this morning, I discovered this ....
They have taken almost every fat ball, opened the tub and torn off the nets and absconded with them somewhere !!!! we counted 17 nets and they probably took more !
